Air Canada Booking Classes

Air Canada booking is available for the below travel classes:

International business class - The cabins are available on all Air Canada booking. Two different types of cabins are available - the Executive Pod and the Classic Pod. Executive pods are flat electronic beds of 6.7 ft in a 1–2–1 reverse herringbone configuration. They have a seat width of 21 inches which allows the passenger to relax. The classic pods are flat electronic beds of 6.3 ft in a 1–1–1 reverse herringbone configuration. They have a seat width of 21 inches for comfort.

North American business class - This seating class is available only for North America flights. The seat configuration is 1–2, and the seats have reclined ability of around 120°, and a seat width of 20 inches. The seat pitch is massive 37 inches which allows passengers to stretch their legs.

Premium economy class - This travel class is only available on international flights and on flights within North America, these seats are sold as preferred seats in economy class. Available in 2-4-2 configuration, premium economy class seats have seat width of up to 20 inches and seat pitch of 37 to 38 inches.

Economy class - Standard seats are available on all Air Canada flights. They have a seat pitch of 31 to 34 inches and seat width of 17 to 18 inches depending on aircraft.

Air Canada Online Check In

Air Canada online check in opens 24 hour before for all flights. Web check in is best way to check in without waiting in any queues and to print your boarding pass at your comfort at home or office.

The closing time for Air Canada online check in is as follows:

• At least 45 minutes prior to departure for flights within Canada

• At least 60 minutes prior to departure for flights between Canada and other countries

Air Canada Airport Check In

Air Canada airport check in desk opens as per below timeline:

• Within Canada - 90 minutes

• To/From the U.S. - 120 minutes

• International (including Mexico and the Caribbean) - 120 minutes

• From Casablanca, Morocco - 180 minutes

• From Tel-Aviv, Israel - 180 minutes

• The boarding gate closes 30 mins before for all Air Canada flights but for Israel, it’s 60 minutes.

Air Canada Flight Status Updates

Air Canada flight status update can be obtained if the passenger with confirmed Air Canada booking has flight number and date of departure.

Air Canada Baggage Allowance

Air Canada baggage allowance is best for both domestic and international locations.

Cabin baggage allowance - One standard and one personal article is allowed, each weighing not more than 10 kgs. The standard article should have 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm dimensions while personal article should have 16 cm x 33 cm x 43 cm dimension.

Checked in baggage allowance - Economy class has a baggage allowance of 23 kgs while all other classes have 32 kgs of luggage permit.

However, Air Canada informs that final baggage allowance can change anytime as they are based on the date of booking, and the details of same can be found on the itinerary-receipt.

Air Canada Food & Drinks

Air Canada has an excellent in-flight food service across its travel class and routes.

Business class - Contemporary in-flight dining is served as complimentary in business class. Delectable menu with a flair for international cuisine and fine wines can be enjoyed when you travel with Air Canada’s business class.

Wine selection includes the old and new world red and white wines & Canadian red and white wines

Premium economy class - Passengers on premium economy class are welcomed with a beverage and then are offered the choice between two delicious hot meals, which is accompanied by a refreshing salad, warm bread and dessert. 

Breakfast includes fresh coffee, juice, pastries and yoghurt while in wines and beverages, one can select from a range of red and white wines, as well as beer, soft drinks, and juice to accompany their meals.

Economy class - Passengers with confirmed booking for economy class can enjoy the snack and beverages on board by paying a nominal price. For long-haul flights, meals are also offered for purchase along with a choice of beverage.

Special meals must be ordered at least 18 hours before the flight. Special meals available are:
